What is MUZEO?

MUZEO is a 25,000-square-foot complex in Anaheim that brings together a gallery space and the city’s original Carnegie Library. The library was built in 1908, and the gallery space opened in 2007.
The two parts give the museum a connection to both Anaheim’s architectural history and its exhibition program. One ticket includes access to exhibits in the Main and Historic Carnegie Galleries, so you can include both in the same visit.
Find MUZEO at 241 S. Anaheim Blvd. in Anaheim. For a day trip from Winnetka, use that address as your destination when planning the drive or arranging the final leg of a public-transit journey.
How do you get from Winnetka to MUZEO?

From Starlight Inn Canoga Park, Winnetka city centre is about 1 minute by car. From Winnetka, a route planner estimates the drive to Anaheim at about 49.9 miles and 58 minutes. Treat that as a planning estimate rather than a guaranteed journey time, and confirm your route before setting out.
For drivers approaching Anaheim from the north or south, MUZEO’s directions use I-5 and the Lincoln Avenue exit. The directions for eastbound travel use the 91 Freeway West and Harbor Boulevard exit; for westbound travel, they use the 91 Freeway East and then I-5 South.
If you’re taking Metrolink, MUZEO advises using the Orange County or 91/Perris Valley Line to Fullerton Station, then taking Lyft or Uber to the museum. The museum’s directions from Fullerton Station route drivers south on N.
Lemon Street or N. Harbor Boulevard, left on E. La Palma Avenue, and right on N. Anaheim Boulevard. The destination at 241 S. Anaheim Blvd. is on the right.
Parking takes a little advance planning. MUZEO validates parking at Car Park 3, at 143 W. Center Street Promenade, and Car Park 5, at 290 S. Lemon Street.
Keep your original parking ticket to exit. The museum advises arriving 30 to 40 minutes before your ticket time because parking may be limited; street parking is usually limited to 90–120 minutes.

A simple Anaheim day-trip outline
Build the day around your ticket time, leaving room for parking before you enter the museum. A practical sequence is to arrive in Anaheim, park at a validated garage, visit both galleries on the same admission, then spend any remaining time in downtown Anaheim before heading back to Winnetka.
- Set out from Winnetka. Use the estimated drive time as a starting point, then check your route and allow for parking before your ticket time.
- Park and keep your ticket. Use Car Park 3 or Car Park 5 for validated parking, and retain the original parking ticket for the exit.
- Visit the galleries. Your ticket includes exhibits in the Main and Historic Carnegie Galleries. Arriving 30 to 40 minutes before your ticket time follows MUZEO’s parking advice.
- Continue around downtown Anaheim. MUZEO’s address on S. Anaheim Boulevard provides a clear point to plan the rest of your time in the area.
If you’re considering a holiday visit, MUZEO lists reduced hours of 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. It is closed on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Juneteenth, July 4 and Thanksgiving Day.
